Introduction...

This web site is here to provide visitors with a selection of attractive and enjoyable walks in a wide variety of locations. At first these will be primarily in England and Wales. We intend to include walks to suit all tastes, ranging from easy short strolls to more challenging walks covering longer distances.

They're all called 'Green Walks' because all of them have been designed to be accessible using public transport. That means they're good for you - and the environment.

We intend to include as many walks as possible on GreenWalks.net - starting with those we, at Simon Holt Marketing Services, have produced in leaflet and booklet form for various clients over recent years. We'll be adding these as soon as possible.

Each route will be described in full, including route descriptions, maps of the routes, photos and illustrations, plus additional notes about the locations visited. Each walk will include details about how to get there using public transport.

We would like to hear from you too, please let us know what you think of the information we supply. If you have any suggestions regarding what we should include on GreenWalks.net or the way we provide the information please send us an email. Email to info@greenwalks.net

Also, if you would like to contribute items/walks for possible inclusion on the GreenWalks.net site please get in touch.

Where ever possible, each walk will include details of local places of interest, visitor attractions, places where you can obtain refreshments, where to stay overnight, local facilities and amenities and how to obtain travel and tourist information.

Please visit this site again soon.
